Baleine II Flowline assembly and installation

Phase 2 of the Baleine oil filed off Côte d’Ivoire comprises the floating production, storage and offloading unit (FPSO) Petrojarl Kong and the FSO Yamoussoukro. In addition to tow to field and mooring hook-up for both units Semar, along with DOF, were engaged to connect the FPSO and FSO by means of a floating export riser.

The 1.2 km long riser was assembled from 12-m segments on the deck of DOF’s vessel Skandi Skansen, overboarded, floated and hooked up to the 2 floating units.

 

Semar personnel performed the analysis, design detailed specifications, and fabrication follow-up of the riser assembly and deployment system. Semar also provided tow masters, offshore managers and field engineers throughout the various phases of the offshore works.
